American College of Cardiology
Chapter Structure
The Wisconsin Chapter of the American College of Cardiology (WCACC) is a membership organization. The Chapter has a Board of Councilors organized by the distribution of members around the state. The Councilors responsibilities are:
- be the first contact for local issues
- communicate local problems to the Governor or appropriate committee
- be a contact to comment on legislative issues and assist in the distribution of legislative alerts
- consult with the Governor on chapter issues
In addition the chapter has three committees:
Government Relations
Committee:
Monitor all legislation and regulation and actively lobby to oppose
those bills and regulations which we consider adverse to the health
interest of the people of Wisconsin, as well as to support those
bills which are in their best health interests.
Medicare/Third Party Relations Committee:
Monitor all issues dealing with quality of patient care and third party reimbursement and keep the membership informed on these issues.
Program
Committee:
Develop educational programs in Wisconsin for the members of the
Wisconsin Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
